I have experience working with many popular CMS software including Drupal, Joomla, Kentico, & Magento, however, my main expertise is in WordPress. I built this site in WordPress in a single afternoon.

I’m deeply familiar with WordPress best practices for content management, security, SEO, performance, and operations. I’m familiar with many popular themes and plugins, and have a basic understanding of PHP to make deeper customizations if necessary.

Programming

Let me be clear: I am not a web developer, nor did I study computer science in school. However, over the past decade I have taught myself basic fluency in HTML, Markdown, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and PHP. I am familiar with enough coding and programming fundamentals that I can solve most problems that come my way. I am by no means a computer scientist, but I am comfortable:

  • Holding a conversation with real developers and integrating marketing efforts with the existing tech stack
  • Working with direct HTML, Markdown, and CSS to customize web pages
  • Customizing WordPress themes with PHP and/or JavaScript
  • Using Python to automate repetitive tasks and reporting
